Activity Description

Why Minecraft?
At Zaniac, we use Minecraft™ as a tool to teach real-world math, science, and technology skills. Minecraft™ reinforces math concepts and introduces students to physical and life sciences. Kids learn with their peers in a fun team format while developing critical reasoning skills.

In Minecraft Architecture and Newton’s World: Students will work in furthering their understanding and importance of physics in architecture and civil engineering. They will be challenged to build bridges, cities and architectural structures designed to sustain the forces of nature. Students will continue to explore real-world architectural and engineering concepts and take that knowledge and apply it to designing a cityscape using Minecraft™.

In Minecraft Newton’s World: Students get exposure to many types of physics, including Newton’s Laws, mechanics, thermodynamics, Physics of fluids, and electromagnetics. Students will also begin the exploration and introduction to the world of electricity with Minecraft Redstone, a powerful source of energy that allows them to create sophisticated electronic machines. Students will work with Zaniac instructors to understand all these physics concepts and apply them in the world of Minecraft.

Minecraft Exploration is a prerequisite.

This class is offered by Zaniac.
